Welcome to our grade 11 science classroom
We are committed into familiarizing our learners with current issues existing in our communities. The slideshow on the left projects some of scientific experiments we execute to make science fun and meaning. Current images inserted were taken during HIV and AIDS game played during our revision of acids and bases chapter. At the initial stage, learners had solutions within their test tubes, representing their HIV statuses. Their solutions were colourless and only one of them had a solution of acetic acid which represented POSITIVE status of HIV. Learners were then instructed to copulate (mix their solution with a maximum 5 other learners' test tubes). And surprisingly, only one learner after the sexual contact tested NEGATIVE (the test tube with BLUE solution). Apparatus - Water - Acetic Acid (Vinegar) - Indicator (Bromothymol blue, Phenalphthalein, etc..anyone available to you) - test tubes |
